Rob's mom still goes off about that nurse. Mom doesn't LIKE rudeness.
What really made me mad was that the doctor not only went along with her,
but punished me for not sleeping, by insisting that I get my blood sugars
checked every two hours and that I be made to walk around for triple the
length of time of what I'd been doing. He said that maybe it would
encourage me to stop gold bricking. Later on he apologized for having to
be so mean. I asked him who he was.

and lack of privacy- we didn't have it as bad but when Dave first came
out of hospital we had physio and what have you around all the time

and asked Dave who his social worker was and when he said he didn't

Dave was lying but didn't even have the good manners to go away and
call his GP and not say anything.She also asked him why we had cats
and apparently she's the boss! There's no logic to them- they come
any time between 9 and 6 so as Dave says he can't do anything until
they have been and gone. Several of them seem unable to do their job-
it was recommended that Dave get stockings last August-he finally got
them at the end of June, none of them seemed to know what size he
needed nor have a tape measure or know how to measure him....with the
result the first pair he got was a ladies size 5!

Still as you say at least he is at home.

Thanks. The intake nurse seems to think that I deliberately poisoned
Rob with overdoses of Dilantin. The only thing I can figure out on that
is that me giving him his meds was far more regular than him taking his
meds AND at the same time his metabolism changed from his chemo and now
requires less Dilantin.

I had a nurse when I was in hospital that considered me her "case" and
would bully me into doing as she wanted rather than take care of my
needs. You should have seen her temper tantrum when the night shift gave
me a bed bath before she came on shift. She regulated my calls and was
rude to my Mother in Law. She told one of my doctors that I
deliberately stayed up all night talking with a friend and reading so
that I could sleep all day. I finally had to demand that I never have
her as a nurse again. I was transferred to the surgical deparment the
next day. I wasn't upset one bit.
