I am not a trucker, LOL. Like ugly backpacks, there are just some
things here I dig in my heels at and flatout turn down. Chains in that

I don't do chains either.  Thought about it once, but after the
removal process (which sucked), I decided I would never do that
again.  Studded tires are much easier, much better for control, and in
my opinion, much safer.

So... are you able to walk a little bit?  Some of the more beautiful
vistas take a little walk (about 100 yards, maybe?) to get to.  Even
with my cane, I can walk there.  It is *incredible*!

Legs are fine. Are you talking walking up a steep grade or gentle
incline?

Slight incline, mostly flat.  No real 'climbing', I can't do that
anymore.

I keep getting the pics you sent (Monument) mixed up with that
Continental
Divide thing where the tunnels through the mountains are...I like
tunnels,
there are some on the local roads (dipping underground, under rivers)
where
I lived in FL. The ones here are much wider and longer.

The tunnels, most commonly called Eisenhower, though one is the Lyndon
Johnson (West Bound) and the other is the Eisenhower (East Bound)
tunnels are at Loveland pass, you can go up the Divide through the
Loveland exit, pretty drive, if you are interested, in the summer.
There are other tunnels this side of those biggies though.

CNM is pretty much our one claim to fame over here.  The fruit and
wine are slightly newer claims, though the peaches are pretty good.

You said the magic word and it wasn't "wine". I have heard about those
CO peaches.

*Palisade* peaches. Early ones come out in July. Then we have them
through August <droolz>, from one who doesn't really like peaches,
mind you. They are good. They do ship to Denver, but those are
'early' picks, so they are still a little green. You can get them
falling off the tree fresh over here <hint, hint>.
