You should also turn off autorun to guard against the same threat, here

# In the right pane, double-click System, scroll down the list and
double-click Turn Off Autoplay

# In the Turn Off Autoplay Properties window, select Enabled. From the
dropdown next to Turn Off Autoplay on, select All drives and then click
OK.
Exit Group Policy by selecting File, then choosing Exit from the menu.

Speaking as a computer professional (23 years as a programmer/analyst), I
would strongly advise against downloading a "Microsoft patch" from any
source other than Microsoft's web site. The official site for
downloading Windows patches is http://update.microsoft.com.
