Yes, but not for animal rescue or anything of that nature. It's to help
defray the huge budget deficit in this state.
Is the 10.5% tax *in addition* to the regular sales tax -- or are the
services/goods taxed a flat 10.5?
I don't know, I just found out about it myself today. Guess I'll have
to do some more research on it. The only thing I did check out was Snopes,
to make sure it wasn't a hoax.
