I viewed the link, what a lovely hound. We don't have that breed in the UK.
It's very kind of you to rescue her and bring her home. She's probably so
hyper at the moment because she's in a panic at being dumped and then being
taken to a unfamiliar place. She may well calm down when she realises she's
safe. A good herbal remedy for calming nervous or overexcited dogs is
"scullcap and valerian" if you can get it. It works best over a period of
time, I have used it successfully several times. The company that
manufacture it in the UK is called Dorwest, IIRC, but I don't suppose they
have a branch in America, perhaps you could buy something similar online.
Why, oh, why do people dump dogs when they can turn them over to a rescue
society if they find themselves in circumstances that they can no longer
care for them? It does the dog's head in, no wonder she is all over the
place right now, poor girl.
Let me know how it all goes.

She really is pretty, variegated dark blue and white and then a velvet
dark blue on the rest of her. If the stuff the kids works, she calms down
and gets used to a collar and leash, yes I will keep her. The cats are
trying their best to get out to say hello. NOT for a few days.

By the time I got there, the dog was so hyper. I got her to the TED
and she
is not chipped. He was too busy to mess with her today so wouldn't
give me
anything to settle her. Is there anything I can get over the counter
to
maybe help calm her?
I'd isolate the dog if you can - somewhere - away from everyone to let
it calm down.
Did you mean it has *ticks* or is that just its name?

LOL...well, being the catperson I am, I'd sure not call *that*
beautiful,
but he looks friendly; dogs have such friendly usually-but-not-always
(green-eyed Weimariners)
brown eyes, and they don't look at you like cats do, ROFL - "What have
you done for me
lately?". Will you keep her, Granby?
