I mean, I sweat like a pig just making the bed, but when I have to

swamp is on.  Makes brushing them a bunch easier.  They seem to like
it too.

Yesterday it finally got too hot for the masters. It's at all uncommon for
Ranger to be out in the yard all day when the weather is nice. Yesterday
morning he was posed like a racehorse while I was getting the doors
unlocked, then bolted into the back yard as soon as I finally opened up.
Five minutes later he dragging back into the house and collapsed atop the
first A/C vent he came too.

Harri, too, is an out-all-day cat. Yesterday she didn't venture out for
more than 5 minutes at time until close to sunset. And nobody complained
at all when I finally started bringing everybody inside around 9.

Today it's even hotter than yesterday, so I don't anticipate any problems
bringing them in tonight either.

I had mentioned in another thread about the insiders here. Only two
wish to venture out (and they'll sneak out when you aren't looking,
since they aren't allowed out). Even they have been avoiding the
doors. I guess it is pretty hot when Jebediah and Leonidas *both*
decide that it ain't all that bad in meowmie's house (lol).

I'd dearly love a place where I could feel relatively assured of their
safety, and let them out to wander, but with the road in front being
very busy, and the drivers here being very blind to cats... and let's
not forget the actual wildlife (bears, mountain lions/cougars, foxes,
wild dogs, etc..). In a place with a bit of land, I might even be
able to set up a "run" for them. Here, that isn't going to happen
anytime soon. No room for it.

So, they get the "inside" grass to chew on (and which Barnabus
immediately hurks up after eating), and I open curtains so they can
get their sunshine.

They do like when I find a "nature" show that is about trees, flowers,
and grasses... All of them (it seems) will sit in front of the
television, and watch until it finished, then they look at me, and
seem to be asking me to put the big "out" back on the picture box.
