Re: OT: Swamp Coolers (was Re: Hummingbirds)

I mean, I sweat like a pig just making the bed, but when I have to
clean, it ain't pretty (lol). On the bright side (and back to cats as
a topic), the mistresses and masters all have the softest fur when the
swamp is on. Makes brushing them a bunch easier. They seem to like
it too.

Yesterday it finally got too hot for the masters. It's at all uncommon for
Ranger to be out in the yard all day when the weather is nice. Yesterday
morning he was posed like a racehorse while I was getting the doors
unlocked, then bolted into the back yard as soon as I finally opened up.
Five minutes later he dragging back into the house and collapsed atop the
first A/C vent he came too.

Harri, too, is an out-all-day cat. Yesterday she didn't venture out for
more than 5 minutes at time until close to sunset. And nobody complained
at all when I finally started bringing everybody inside around 9.

Today it's even hotter than yesterday, so I don't anticipate any problems
bringing them in tonight either.
