What happens when you try? Does it just sit there and do nothing?
Mostly it just keeps spinning that little circle of gray dots until I
give up. When it DOES begin to download a video, I get maybe one second
of sound and action, followed by ten seconds of frozen screen (while it
downloads the next segment), then a repeat of the same, until I lose
interest. (Someone once sent me a link to watch a version of the
ballet, "Swan Lake", as danced by cats, but after trying to make sense
of music and dance measured out in such minute segments, I gave up in
disgust.)
You can stop the video from playing while it's still downloading. Wait
until it's all downloaded, and then start playing. (If necessary, you can
move the pointer to the beginning so it will start playing there.) That
way there won't be any interruptions while you wait for it to download
some more so you can watch it. If it takes a long time to download, you
can always go do something else while you wait.
I do this all the time. Although I have DSL, download speed is still
slower than video play speed.
