Francis helps put the laydeez to bed

It's dusk here in my bit of heaven on earth. Every night, by now, the laydeez have made their way up into their henhouse from the run and settled themselves down into the straw for the night. All that remains for me to do is close the pophole from the henhouse to the run and then lock all doors, so the girls are safe, snug and secure from any Mr Fox that happens to wander by. Tonight I had a willing helper, one Francis, who is thoroughly *besotted* by Anode & Cathode. As I opened the henhouse door to close the pophole from the inside, the girls were in their usual place. I reached over them to close the pophole. As well as having two hens purring right next to me, a balck & white furry face poked his head in for a good peer around. He was on the roof of the run and stretching over to have a good nose about. The girls ignored him and he was definitely not in hunting mode.

I swear Francis is in love with those hens in his own funny feline way.
