If I have any say in the matter! I tend to enter writing contests
whenever
my schedule allows me to. And I'm usually working on one or more short
stories that will eventually end up in my portfolio on writing.com.

But I was thinking about you today. I was out in the sunshine and
enjoying myself tremendously. Taking my granddaughter for her first long
walk in her stroller.
Now normally, when I'm at home, I drag around and can't seem to work up
any enthusiasm for anything. Days with her are a miracle and a blessing.
I digress.
Do you think at least some of the funk you are drifting into is a bit of
seasonal affective disorder? I'm guessing that your work and the climate
are keeping you indoors most bright daylight hours.
Anyway, would you try getting out in the sun for even ten minutes in the
middle of the day? Or at least close to a large window that lets in lots
of light? I'm hoping it might help.

I'm going to take your advice and do just like you said, get out into the
sun for a few minutes. Your walk with your grand daughter sounds wonderful.
I don't get to see mine (I have almost 8) because they live in other states.
I know you cherish her, Give her a nice HUG from me? I love hugging little
kids, they need to be hugged, loved and cherished. The only up-side of the
horrid place we lived in before here, there were alot of little kids from
Mexico and other races and we got to know each other and they loved to give
me hugs. I'd give them treats in exchange for hugs. Everybody was happy:)
I miss them too
