It happened suddenly and unexpected. Short after Tientje's death we
received an e-mail from Puschel's dad. He wrote, that he could not
longer take care for her and that we made a contract, in which was
written, that we had to be contacted in case a decission has to be
made about Puschel. Of course we told him, that we will take Puschel
back, but honestly - it was quite shocking. We didn't think, that this
ever would happen!
I always said, when I let a puppy go to a new home "that if you cannot keep
him/or her for whatever reason they must be returned."
It has only happened once. The owner was killed in a road accident, he was
single. It was very difficult for this dog to return after many years. His
siblings had forgotten him.
Even so I believe if I cause an animal to be brought into this world I am
responsible for it.
I hope Puschel's reintegration goes well, Inge. Even given her great age
now, good luck!
