Kristi, we are sending purrs and understanding. What you need to
learn (and ME TOO because I have a hard time with it) is that you
can't change other people to think the way you do. This just wasn't
where you're meant to be right now, and that Dr G was poison to
you. As for everyone else in your life, again, you can't control
how they act or feel, you can only control how you act and feel.
When you can understand this, and it only sometimes comes as
fleeting moments of understanding, it is liberating.
When people have told me this, it pisses me off. I can't help but
think, why the hell do I have to change my ways to match their
ways, but it isn't like that. I have to change my reaction to their
ways. The way they choose to act is out of my control.
Best wishes to you, and you'll get there sweetie.
Regarding the working interviews: I couldn't have said it better myself, so
I'm piggy-backing on Cheryl's post. And I agree with what Britta said, as
well. While I don't *think* I was rude to new employees who were working on
the periphery around me (I know if someone new asked me a question I didn't
give them a "Well, DUH!" type answer), I was often so preoccupied I scarcely
acknowledge their presence. Trust me, it was nothing personal. It probably
isn't personal in this case, either, although I wasn't there so it's just an
opinion.
As for the unemployment, can you not have the interviewer speak to the vet
at Dr. G's clinic that you worked well with?
