I already don't live "in town" and neither does Scott. We are, however, in
a tax base area the city wants to gobble up. My area is not high on the
priority list but where Scott's house is *is* the next.

I moved from Hickory Hill right before Memphis annexed it. First thing that
happened after Memphis got its hands on the area was the taxes went up. The
second thing that happened was the crime rate skyrocketed. No one in their
right mind would buy a house in that area now... except for drug dealers,
ex-cons, illegal immigrants.

Still, it's a free house, right? And yes, I can always sell it if the city
gets its hands on the dang place area.
