There are landings.
There are no "crash landings".
The proper term is "emergency landing".

plane crashes
Planes don't automatically crash when the engine fails.
If you say planes crash when the engine fails, you watch
way too much television. Turn off the TV and do not proceed
to the next question.
I have long since given up on getting annoyed at all the aviation fallacies in the movies and on TV. It's so widespread and the potential for serious self harm from screaming at the TV has made it not worth my while to bother. Mostly I just tune out now...
