BACK / NEWS: OK, I'm back - only 220 posts to catch up on! Two reasons I
was away - tons of work and my computer cr*pped out on me. We had to get me
a new one (had to put it on plastic, which I hate since we took out our
entire life savings to pay off the last plastic debt - sigh). I did get a
good buy on a flat screen monitor (in for a penny, in for a pound!). The
only problem is I can't get it to run on my old computer with the correct
drivers. It's a widescreen and supposed to be set to 1440 x 900 - but I
have to leave it set (for now until I get the new computer up and running)
at 1024 x 768 - so all the graphics are stretched out weirdly. I hated
having to buy all this stuff, especially now, but I make our living on my
computer and it was a must-have.

So why not just use the old machine instead of buy a new one for no reason? Obviously it's working even if the drivers are not correct. Have you tried going to the monitor or video cards manufacturer's web site and see if they have newer versions of the drivers available?
