That made me think of the movie "The Butterfly Effect" (which, BTW, I
*don't* recommend - it's thought provoking, but *WAY* over the top in
graphic violence, and the depiction of pedophilia was too much for me).
But yes, you're right, and this is something humans have considered before
(remember "The Monkey's Paw" by W.W. Jacobs written in 1902?). Be careful
what you wish for, you just may get it. If it's a case of the devil I know
vs. the devil I don't, well, I'm not a gambler.
