Problem with my couple of lovebirds, need some help...

Hi,

My girlfriend gave me a couple of lovebirds as a birthday present a
week ago, a present I really appreciated since I love animals and have
had some other birds before, but never any kind of parrots.

I have really read a lot this days and I know now her choice was not
the best one since my lovebirds haven't been hand fed and already are 7
months old.

The thing is that I really like them and want to tame them, I know this
will be nearly impossible but I'm a very patient person and really want
to try. Right now they are way scared of me, I've tried letting them
out of the cage because the one they have now is too small (I'm getting
a new bigger one delivered in 2 or 3 days) but they are even more
scared when they are out.

For know I will just wait two or three weaks until they are more
confortable.

I've read it's better to tame them one by one, does this mean to have
different cages or just getting one out and then the other one?

The cage I'm getting is a "Montana Brazil", is this big enough? would
you recommend a different one?

Also, would you recommend buying a taming book? if so, which one? I
believe there is enough info on the net but I wouldn't mind buying one.

When I don't get too close they are alright, they look at me and show
some interest. They also fell asleep when I play guitar, that's nice,
I had never seen a bird sleep before.

I don't know if the cage is the problem or if I just won't be able to
tame them but I will try, I really like them and want them to feel
confortable with me.

Please excuse my english as I am native spanish, and thanks in advance
for any advice.
