Yes! keep the bird as close as he can take without freaking it out.

"Than at night or when ever YOU eat. breakfast, lunch, dinner,
snacks, sit by the bird cage. Let him see you eating. offer him a bite
if he won't eat it at first it's ok."
See of the people in the world are retired. Or stay at home Mom's or
self employed. And have the time to be with our animals all day or
night long. Or on your days off.
