They also vote AGAINST parties. It won't be any time soon before the military
forgets how the liberals sold them out in Vietnam. It's been liberal mayors
and governors who have refused to cooperate with reporting criminals who are
illegal aliens. Thanks to liberals, states are saddled with costs they can't
afford and never could. Liberals dreamed up Fannie Mae-Freddie Mac and the
CRA bills that forced banks to lend money to deadbeats. Liberals stood in the
way of reforms when warnings were issued about bad mortgages and the housing
bubble. Carter & Clinton both decimated the military to buy welfare votes.
Liberals gave the union goons the power to decide who gets to work in many
states. How many more reasons do you want?

The reality is that "Banks" were not "forced" to lend anything to anyone. When they observed the profits being experienced by mortgage lenders they couldn't resist the temptation to join the crowd. The pressure was applied by congress to the GSEs to purchase the mortgages of subprime borrowers, which they were only too glad to do because their bonuses were tied to "growth" (more lending).
There is no one entity or individual who can be singled out as the culprit for the financial meltdown. James Johnson, one time campaign chief for Mondale's presidential bid and head of Fannie Mae, was arguably the most culpable but plain old greed was the root of the disaster.
But, you're right in pointing the finger at liberals because they're the ones who thought "everyone" should own a home............even if they couldn't afford one.
