Hi folks,
Haven't been very active in a while. However, I do not want to
lose my newsgroup capability.
I've been using Windows mail for newsgroups on my deck top computer..
(Vista)
I now have a Dell laptop. The Tech that delivered it said that
windows 7 dropped windows mail and wasn't familiar with newsgroups..
My internet carrier (AT&T) doesn't service newsgroups and now I
don't have Windows Mail, how do I get acccess to this newsgroup on my new
laptop that has Windows 7?
Windows 7 has Windows Live Mail, you can access the newsgroups thru Live
Mail. My ISP does not offer newsgroups either (Qwest) so I use a third party
to access the newsgroups. Like everything else in live, I now must pay for
access. Overall works pretty well although I'm not nutz about Live Mail. One
thing that bothers me is that every time someone responds to a post
regardless of the age, the subject is treated as a brand new post and goes
to the top of my que. I'd much rather the conversation be treated like an
old one and stay with it's original posting date so I don't have to see them
again.
try forte agent. They have a free 30 day trial period.

I find the trick is in the + Lines box. It expands the threads by
date so you can see if an old topic has new postings or leave i
threaded and get last new topic on top.
