Re: Winnebago to acquire Sunnybrook

High crude oil prices cause the U.S. dollar to go down in value which
in turn causes even higher crude oil price when expressed in dollars not
euros or other foreign currencies. In layman's terms, if the euro price
of oil goes up 30% then the dollar price of oil goes up 40%.

We all know what high oil prices do to the RV business.

I suppose you mean well, but I think you misunderstand. The dollar is
plunging in value primarily because the Fed is "printing" it by the
gazillons and the US gummit has borrowed us all into near-oblivion. Oil
is necessarily rising in value (regardless of how you measure its
"price") because of increasing demand and increasing
production/regulation/tax costs even as the supply inevitably and
gradually dwindles.

IOW, don't blame the energy industry - even the greedy Arabs - for a set
of problems that are almost entirely out of their control. As to the RV
industry, high fuel prices are merely the tip of it's Titanic iceberg.
ALL inflationary costs tend to throttle the RV business, as more and more
people have less and less disposable income.

Well.... I have a degree in Economics, do you? I believe that my
informed opinion is worth more than your uninformed opinion regarding this
subject.
If you need me to "splain" my reasoning behind the statement in my
original post in more detail I can.

Has your degree in economics equipped you to "splain" why anything I wrote
is even slightly incorrect?

On careful review, my statements are entirely factual and as such need no
enhancement. Your assertion that crude oil prices are the cause of the
dollar's plunge is simply wrong. If you find it necessary to brag about
your economics education to make your point, you'd be better off not
mentioning it -- most of my life I've competed successfully against people
who mistakenly think their sheepskin makes them smart.
