I have the older stationery twist knob control model and it's worked
fine for me all these years.
My rule of thumb about mechanical things "the more complicated usually
the higher rate of maintenance and failure". Of course, I didn't price
it but I'm fairly confident it cost a lot more than the model I have.
As far as I know the company has a good reputation.
The bottom line, you want it you buy it :-). I guess none of us would
even have rigs if we worried about price :-).
Well, I'm a pretty low budget RVer. But thanks for the information. I
prefer simpler over more complicated, unless the mechanical complexity
adds real value. That is partly a judgment call, of course.
