And you want to turn our health care over to the same government that

Medicare is a government-run health care system.
And Medicare is both bankrupt, and failing, in that many doctors will not
take new Medicare patients because of the payment schedule.
The VA adnistration operates a government-run health care system.
The VA is a mixed bag, in some places they provide adequate service, and in
other places, they are only slightly better than a witch doctor with
leeches. And they are well known for long wait times. Call today for a
November appointment. I do not consider that a success.
The congressional health care system is government run.
It is an insurance based system, and congress will not give the people the
opportunity to take advantage of that system. All we get is their cast
offs.
All of those are superior to
the present profit-driven pharmaceutical system which has left nearly
60 million US citizens without healt care.
Could you at least pretend you possess a modicum of honesty? At most, there
are about 12 million citizens without insurance. The rest of that 60
million you claim (when did it go up, last month it was 45 million) is made
up of illegal aliens, healthy people who could have insurance but choose not
to, and temporarily unemployed (who will be reinsured within four months).
We could insure those 12 million for a couple billion a year, just by giving
them vouchers to buy into the government employees group insurance program.
The education system as a whole suffers mostly because it's starved of
resources and that drives out the best and brightest where the
tax-payers are unwilling to fund a top-notch system. Where the
resources are available, government run education can be quite good.
Complete and utter bull***. The school district that spends the most per
child is Washington DC, and it has the worst record of any schools in the
country. High drop out rates, and graduates who can't spell their own
names. On the other hand, private schools turn out above average graduates
with a low drop out rate, and most of them spend just over half of what
government schools spend.
Indeed one of the best high schools in the country is run by the
State of North Carolina.
Which school is that.
