OT-Finally got my back MRI...

Yep, they knocked me out as limp as spaghetti in order to avoid a repeat of my claustrophobia attack when I tried it in Sierra Vista.
The procedure took about 20 minutes. Finding a working vein took the usual 45 minutes with a lot of stabbing going on. Only 2 people doing the
drilling though. Most of my blood seems to be in the main pipelines. I couldn't complain about their competence and efficiency though. First class all the way.
The hospital is one of the top 100 in the country.
I've been having a real circus trying to get old records from the VA. First place I checked was the National Archives but they said they had sent everything (including the originals) to the VA long ago. Then I tried VA Hq to see if they had any tips; they said the records would be where I was treated (I'd already checked there) or in storage in Chicago. Nope, nothing in Chicago so I checked back with Mpls and St. Cloud, MN, the only places I ever had treatment.
Nothing.
Wednesday evening I went to the VA Home page and e-mailed the FAQ page. I asked a simple question, would it help if I wrote my Congressperson about my search?
Bingo! I got a call Thursday from the St. Cloud VA hospital. By some miracle of fate they found some records for back treatments I had back in the '70s.
$50 to a moldy doughnut the spinal cord frying incident won't be recorded.....but I'll take what they have.
Have an appointment with my regular doctor on July 2 and the Neurologist on the 10th. Maybe I'll get lucky.
