There another Pacific North West Camp Out is just history now.

Part of why I picked the campground I did was the area gets some rain
shadow from the Olympic Mts, well, we didn't need it. It was warm and
sunny all weekend with highs near 80, but nights cool enough to
require a warm coat and maybe the heat turned on in the RV (the
campground is right on Hood Canal)

Besides myself and Ellen attending, Alan continued his stint of making
-every- PNWCO, since the very first one, where he camped in a tent.
Also attending was Cecil, Rudy and his wife Josie, along with Don and
his wife Liz.

Friday night we went to dinner at the Whiskey Creek Steak House, a
local eatery (I often eat lunch there). Saturday started with the
Coffee break (featuring Ellen's famous Sticky Buns), followed by
visiting (all of us), shopping (Ellen and Liz) and touring the Naval
Undersea Museum (Cecil, Rudy, Don and I). The wrap-up was the usual
pot-luck, which included some friends of Josie's.

Now we await word from Don on the date and location for the Fall PNWCO

And I made it home, too - but the a/c belt broke just after Prosser, so the
last 90 miles was a little warm <g>. Luckily, Toyota was kinda
belt-and-suspenders on the engine - 1 belt runs the alternator and the water
pump, a second belt runs the power steering and the water pump, and the
third belt (the one that broke) runs -only- the air conditioner - so after a
short pause to see what went 'bang', I was back on the road. Guess I'll
replace the belts before the next trip....
