Mr Weeks, are you a techincal engineer by trade? Got any experience
actually working with tv in any way? I didn't think so.
The main reason the stations have not totally converted is, due to the
fact that ain't that easy a thing to do and costs money. Which is why
congress gave an extension.
Not true. Most stations had converted to be ready for the earlier
date. It was because so many Obammy followers wee too stupid to
understand the situation and need a PhD in TV to help. They are as
ignorant now as they were in November.
Digital signals will still be broadcast on the same frequencies as the
analog. In analog, there are two seperate signals. One for audio, one
for video. Which is why sometimes you hear the audio while the video
might be screwed up.
I have to say that I really have no clues on how digital tv works.
But I'd have to say that your analysis, well, just plain sucks.
As there is no way possible to have more than one signal on the same
"channel".
Analog TV occupies 6Mhz of bandwidth. Much of it is empty, open
space. The gaps are more than adequate for digital transmission.
see- http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/tv12.htm
BTW, the reason there is no channel 1 is that the 6 Mhz segment from
48-54 Mhz (ch. 1 allocation) is allocated to the amateur radio 6 Meter
band.
