The Norse went Viking because Norsing just sounded sissy. Thath's
all right at thea, but not tho much when you get to thor.

Not that Norsing isn't a fine and noble profession. But these
guys were more into real estate. Not only in Ireland, but also
the mid to north platitudes of Britain.

They mostly worshipped Odin, because He kindly turned a blind eye
to their wreaking havoc up and down the continent. And that's
how Woden's day came to be mid-wreak.
