I was going to used tung oil but didn't have any handy and the poly
was right there
I only use it to brush my teeth.... it won't get hard use.

I like the bowl but I think you may have a problem with water lifting
the finish and turning the interior gray. A couple of coats of finish
on the interior would let you keep the look but protect the wood
better. Easier to be proactive at protecting it than to refinish
later. particularly if later comes sooner. ;-) Unless you like the
weathered teak look. I did a quick search and turned up a discussion
