Yes, our school system wishes to erect their own whirligig, amidst the suburban sprawl that encompasses it, by funding it to the tune of $850,000.00. They hope that, if it doesn't break down, it will pay for itself sometime in the next generation ... or maybe the one after that.

In my universe, my school taxes are paying for one of those whirligigs on your dock. These are good, staunch, republicans in charge of the schools. That confuses me.

That is just one place where "green" is very, very broken.

The other place is the two issues of Motorhome magazines that ballyhooed the concept of green 40 foot motorhomes.

Hmmm.

Perhaps Caterpillar is being run by a short-sighted conservative.
There are acres and acres of windmill blades, towers, and generator
units being unloaded from ships and sitting on the ground in Duluth
just to the east of the Blatnik Bridge. Someone is making money
off of the wind generators.
