I've been using Walmart batteries exclusively in my vehicles, riding mower, and TT since the 80's and haven't had any problems with them.
Buying shotguns from Sears over the years, you could have a gun with the Sears name but it could be manufatured by Stevens, Winchester, Mossberg, Hi Standard, Noble or Zoli. As one would expect, quality and design varied widely.

Maybe there are a misunderstand about Sears. They manufacture nothing.
Their products are made by manufacturers, Sears as well as Craftsman are not a production company. Sears owns several patents and contract out to company's to produce them. They at one time had a quality control division but I think they have been closed.
