We will just have to disagree on that. My mind can not comprehend how
Then disagree we must.

the current administration could have been any worse.

Oh there were lots of things that could have been done worse. Despite the
faltering economy Clinton left him, GB made us prosperous despite having to
take on that motley collection of mutts wearing turbans.

Yes! Yes! I know. It's a popular fantasy of the left to insist that
Clinton walked on water, left a budget surplus, no deficit, and a rising
economy. While I'm not sure about the water walking, I know the rest of it
is crap. When Clinton raised those taxes, he strangled the economy--I was
working in it, I watched it happening all around me.
Monday: RAISE TAXES =/= Tuesday: RECESSION!
It takes years. And, as predicted, the economy was on the way down when GB
took over.

Bush may yet
deliver a 3rd world country to Obama.

If he doesn't, Obama will certainly leave one to the next occupant of that
office.

A tribute to the unrelenting attacks by a media that's invested in getting
liberals to the levers of power. Throw in a deliberately kicked-off
financial crisis, and you're correct.

Dusty, get a grip. No matter how much propaganda you spout that BS
about a "deliberately kicked-off financial crisis" just won't stick.

Of course not when you're in denial. The bank collapses didn't happen
without a trigger. The FM&FM collapse didn't happen without warning. No
matter how often you assert to the contrary.

This train wreck has been in the making for years and many people saw

And yet nobody did a thing to heed the warnings the Bush, McCain, as well as
others noted. Who was it again that set up those schemes and was in charge
of taking care of them? Who made CRA the law of the land? Help me out
here, Mike...

it coming. What most didn't know was WHEN or how bad it was going to
be. Even now the *experts* are having trouble predicting when the end
will be. Heck, they don't know where the bottom is yet.

Yep. Certainly true. It could get worse. Especially when with the new
congress coming up, they think that they can spend themselves into
prosperity. Soon enough we'll know how that works...

....
Well being smart and articulate is certainly a good start. Shame we
haven't had that for 8-years.

And a bigger shame that that's all we'll be getting for the next 4-years.
If nothing else, we'll be able to compare the approaches...

Never mind that he has no shred of experience in
any form of decision making, responsibility or administration, and you've
got the perfect package. Sad that your standards are indeed so low...

Considering that Obama put together a team that just won the
presidency I would submit to you that he does indeed have some
experience/ability to lead and make good decisions.

So that's it? All one needs to do/be is smart & articulate, and able to
manufacture a campaign that artfully assassinated everyone in it's path and
he's a qualified shoo-in? Wow! Who'd a'thunk that Hitler would have a
soulmate so soon... If you'll read your history, you'll see that 'H' rose to
power in the very same manner. Must be a lesson there someplace. I can
only wonder if anyone will find it in time...

....
things he did do that others thought were okay. But far and away he was
vilified by outright lies and a constant twisting of what he did or
said.

Dusty, I just don't see it that way.

Yeah. I noticed.

....
You betcha! And I plan on doing my part. The only difference is that I
won't have to stoop to outright lies and cheap insinuations.

Dusty you are already doing what you just said you wouldn't do.

President elect-ZERO has not a single shred of experience running
anything.

There you go only one sentence later telling a whopper. Obama (ZERO)
where did you get that? Is it a lie or truth?

AFAICT it's the truth. But, always on the lookout in case I'm wrong, maybe
you'll take just a moment to educate this apparently clueless immigrant.

Could you please elucidate for me just what company he built, ran, or worked
for that sold a product or service for profit and for which he was
responsible for the salaries and taxes based on his decisions?

Could you please elucidate for me just what city he successfully ran?

Could you please elucidate for me just what state he successfully ran?

Could you please elucidate for me just what police, investigative,
intelligence, or military units he ran?

Because so far, you've listed 3-successful (and I don't deny that) campaigns
for positions at the public trough. And no candidate runs/organizes one of
those. That's ALWAYS done by "professional" staff. And for you, being able
to smooth-talk folks by promising goodies from the federal coffers is all
that's needed to be qualified for the highest office on the planet. I guess
I just can't agree with you. But I'm certain that we'll both get to learn
about the fallacies of our choices over these next four years.

Oh, FWIW; to my freedom & liberty besotted mind, accomplishing the goal of
getting elected sans qualifications of any other kind doesn't rate too high
on the accomplishment scale. I figure that if liberals can spend 8-years
shrieking that the USSC "stole" Al Gore's election, then I have license to
say ZERO's accomplishments are close enough to ZERO so as to fall out in the
rounding process.

"not a single shred of experience running anything" --- there you go
again. Lie or truth? He has run a successful congressional campaign,
successful senatorial campaign and successful presidential campaign.
There you are doing the propaganda lying that you said you wouldn't
do.

If there were no successful businessmen, farmers, merchants, scientists,
manufacturers, artisans, soldiers, writers, and so on...there wouldn't be a
need or function for any form of government. So it takes success at making
wealth before one can come along and distribute that wealth. Getting
elected, be it by virtue of lies or truth or any other kind of brow-beating,
isn't any kind of accomplishment. IT'S WHAT YOU DO WHEN YOU'VE BEEN ELECTED
that's the measure of your accomplishment or success. And so far, he has
absolutely ZERO experience at running anything except a campaign. That may
be enough for you, but it's not for me.

I can't see getting into an airplane where the guy that as his only job
organized the crew that painted the yellow lines on the taxi way is the guy
behind the throttle.

I don't
think I'll have to wait too long to find a reason to begin the public
floggings. In fact, truth be told, I'm looking forward to it!

Shoot, Dusty, you haven't waited. You are already using "ZERO" and
saying he has NO experience.

Damn skippy! The libs didn't wait for the inauguration to get started on
Bush, why am I obligated to wait? He's a ZERO today, and unless or until
that changes, he's going to remain so in my book. Of course,
YMseems_toV...(;-o)!

....
Moral, civil and a horrible president. How is that?

I hope you'll forgive me for not agreeing with your resolutely superior
opinion...

....
History will decide how good/bad Bush was. Something tells me that
That it will.

Jimmy Carter will no longer be on the bottom of the heap.

That's just supposition at this point. I'm sure room under him can be found
if ZERO needs a home after this stint in office...

....
Absolutely, Bush wasn't elected by LIBERALS. He was put in by the
Republicans ---- you know the *conservative* party.

Actually, he was put there by independents and gutless moderates. Just like
every election is decided...including this one just passed (past ?).

Oh well. We had Bush, you
get to have your very own socialist standard bearer. What a step "up"...

In a few years we will be able to compare them.

Indeed we will. I only hope I save some of these posts in order to remind
you of your words...(:-o)!

....
He put together an election that was inclusive and won the
presidential election.

Yeah. He did. Isn't it amazing how easy it is to get votes when you
promise folks goodies? Imagine that. I wonder of that tactic has ever been
used before...?

....
Here again we agree. Like you I am having trouble deciding what I can
do to change things. I might just switch my party affiliation to the
Libertarians.

Well, I'm willing to work with you or anybody else to make things turn for
the better. Unfortunately, cutting in another party is a certain recipe for
losing. Only by taking a firm stand and getting one of the current parties
to do what's right as opposed to what will get 'em reelected isn't going to
be a job for the faint of heart. And I just don't see the socialist party
as a working mechanism for freedom & liberty. So that leaves the spineless
and leadership free repubs. Sad, that...

....
Currently, I do not see anyone cabable/dynamic enough to pull that
off.

Sadly, we completely agree.

Palin seems to be the best thing the Republicans can rally
around at this point and *good looking legs* just ain't going to get
the job done.

True enough. And my legs are probably even worse than hers...(;-o)! But,
like with so much out of the press, she wasn't the monster she was made out
to be. I for one will be watching her progress with great interest...

....
Congratulations, you have a big job. Sadly, your best bet may be to
move to the Libertarians where they aren't concentrating on those
issues ------- yet.

Maybe. But, so far at least, the 'losertarians' haven't shown me anything
except a lot of good ideas and no way to apply 'em. If you can't apply your
ideas, you have none. Sad, that...

L8r all,
Dusty
