OK...I am dragging the RV to base camp and hiking from there. 70 lb

What if you get lucky? Do you have a pack frame to tote the meat out?
I shot a small buck in the Uintas once and after toting it for a mile, I
was wishing I had missed.

You should have shot it first, then toted it for a mile. Much
easier. :)

I was hunting with a friend in northern AZ a number of years ago. We
camped in a pretty spot amongst a few (3-4) other hunters. One chap
had a very nice (read:$$$$$) RV and he went out early in the AM.
We also went out but no luck. Later in the afternoon, the $$ guy came
back to camp with no luck either. We wandered over to chat and he
said he got a nice bull elk. When asked where it was, he said it
would be along shortly.
A few minutes later, a helicopter landed on the road hauling a bag
containing the dressed out elk. Not a bad way to go.
No Hunter! He didn't kill from the chopper, only picked it up. It
wweighed out at about 700 lbs.
