Here! Here!

Many people are so swift to blame one political party or the other for this crisis, when, in fact, it was the result of greed biting the greedy in the ass.

(Let me define "greedy" as not only the people lending the money, but the people borrowing who had some inkling that there would come a time when they would not be able to fulfill the contract.)

What goes around, comes around. Unfortunately, those of us who take our financial obligations seriously, who squirrel instead of squander our resources don't own any congress-critters.

It is not likely that we will ever have true representation in congress as long as it costs mega-millions to run a campaign. Even the purest of heart who runs for office (is there really such a creature)will have to compromise his or her morality in order to finance a campaign.

Politics does indeed make strange bedfellows.

The thing about this 'crisis' is that just about whatever position you decide to hold, a little searching around will find 'experts' or politicians that agree with you.

The market went down when the House failed to pass a bill.
The market went up when the House took a holiday.
The market went down when the Senate did pass a bill.
