It's a bunch of sound bites taken out of context and only showing
the best of the repubs and the worst of the dems. If you take those
tiny pieces of the big picture and think the dots are connected
correctly, you're not as smart as I thought you were.

So, are you claiming that the Democrats were NOT saying that there
was no problem with Fan/Fred in 2004?

Are you saying that the Democrats were not obstructing more
regulation?

So, you're saying that there were no repubs against regulation in 2004? If
that's the case, why did the measure fail since they controlled the house
and senate.

What I am saying is that the you-tube video could be put together with
just the opposite view. That is Democrats supporting regulation and
Republicans not supporting the regulation.

Get a clue. The video is meaningless as it's just sound bites taken out of
context.

I think the context is pretty clear when you have Barney Frank and Maxine
Waters saying that Fan/Fred are sound, and congratulating Frank Raines for
doing a great job, while the whole housing market was driving us to where we
are today - and today's problems can be placed squarely at the feet of
Fan/Fred encouraging bad loans. Clips of Dem committee members berating the
regulator for wanting tighter regulations pretty much settles the context.

If you can find any similar video presenting the opposite viewpoint, I'd be
glad to see it.
