I tried filtering all the political stuff recently. I thought the
group had died as a result. Almost no posts.

That's what happens when you filter - you get a false view of reality.

If the reality is a screaming child next to me on a plane and I had the option to filter that child, I'd do it. I wouldn't be missing anything of value.

But you would have no credibility in a discussion about the state of flying experience.
