I have not read all of this crud thread. But I did pop in here
and saw the above comment.

Here where I am gas is for sure.....*down*.....lower than it
has been in like six months. And it has follosed crude's
fall in price. At our local Arco RUL is down nearly a dollar
from it's high. Today I purchased RUL for $3.599.

And other California stations are selling it even lower.
One in Santa Rosa @ $3.39, Costco and several other
stations in Vallejo for $3.49. Those are for sure lower
prices by over a dollar.

I see no "price gouging" here.

In Oregon the story is the same only cheaper even though
they have that strange law that the station must pump the
gas.

The only prices we've seen that don't reflect the drop in crude was along the freeways. We saw 40 cent jumps in central MN but as soon as we got far enough away from the freeway, prices moderated to reflect the falling price of crude. Gas is still higher by 30 cents than it was when crude was at this price last Spring though.
