Nice to see that the other passengers had their priorities in order -
flee
the bus, don't get involved, let the victim get stabbed 50 times, save
themselves. What a craven bunch they are. Not one person on the entire
bus with balls enough to try to stop the attack.
Bruce
Well, maybe its 30 years in the criminal justice field, but I never
associated with anyone who would not have jumped in to help. It was the
way
our minds were programmed, not simply the job we did (well, maybe it was
the
job we did because it was the way we thought). And I suspect that most of
the people you worked with were programmed in exactly the same way.

Look at the environment. He was at the back of the bus. People
got knocked down just trying to get back there. I think they did
pretty well, getting everybody out and away from him, while he
was busy putting the twentieth hole in a dead body. By that time
they couldn't do anything for the headless corpse. But they
could and did imprison him in the bus.
All in all, about as good a result as you could have against a
maniac with a butcher knife, who gave no warning.
And if any of them had demonstrated that he possessed a pair of balls, the
attack could have been stopped at about the 4th stab, not the 50th. The
victim might have had a chance to live. But what else can we expect in a
nation that is universally disarmed and led to believe that the government
will take care of all their needs. None of them had even the slightest
inclination that helping was a personal thing.
