(OT) Information & Preparation For The Future

Since all you non-Democrats out there may have a slight difficulty
adjusting to the fact that the American people are going to sweep your
hated administration out of office this November, I thought it might
be helpful to educate many of you misguided conservatives into the new
ways to come.

What follows explains what the Democratic Party is and then how to
tell if you'll really be able to fit it and be one when you all join
the Obama glory train this Fall on its mission to save our poor
beleaguered country. Thank you to the DNC.

The Democratic party is made up of a very diverse population with a
broad range of core beliefs and attitudes. The party is an umbrella
party, willing and able to welcome people regardless of age, race,
religion, or economic background, not like the bigoted, hypocritical
and racist party full of child molesters that many of your poor
conservatives currently belong to.

The Democratic party stands for liberty, social justice, and above
all, the rights put forth by the United States Constitution.

Because the Democratic party is so diverse, you will find a number of
stances and platforms on all political issues. It has room for social
and economic conservatives as well as people with more liberal
perspectives on social and economic considerations.

The party's diversity is its strength, and as the country moves
further and further away from mainstream considerations and ideals,
our party is poised to help bring the country back on track.

The guiding principle for the Democratic party is to keep this country
safe and to expand the opportunities and future for every American.
The current leaders of the party are committed to both of these tasks,
and have laid out several concrete plans to accomplish both of these
goals.

The Democratic party is dedicated to making America great by providing
education, healthcare, jobs, and a tenable future for every single
American.

Safety and Security are extremely important to the Democratic Party.
The lives of Americans both at home and abroad is crucial to the
American way of life.

Our organization is dedicated to the security of America. Our
organization recognizes that removing basic rights, guaranteed by the
United States Constitution, is not the best way to promote security.

Our organization understands that sending wave after wave of our young
brave men and women to die in a foreign country is not the best way to
promote security. Our organization wants to find the men responsible
for terrorists attacks, such as the 9/11 attacks against the World
Towers and the Pentagon, and bring them to justice. Our organization
does not believe that the search for Osama Bin Laden should be
abandoned in favor of focusing on an unpopular war in Iraq.

Our organization knows that this country has gone through many
frightening, and confusing, changes in the past several years. Despite
the problems that now plague America, our organization believes there
is still time to take the country the right direction. Our
organization believes in the future of America and the ability for
every American to make a positive difference and a positive force in
the nation.

Our organization wants to reach out to our brothers and sisters across
the aisle and work together to improve the current state of civil
liberties and security in America.

Our leaders share a vision of a safe future for Americans and a better
future for everybody. Our leaders have a very ambitious plan to bring
American back in the mainstream. Our leaders plan to do this by
focusing on the issues that concern Americans most, including homeland
security, the war in Iraq, universal healthcare, a woman’s right to
choose, and the guarantee of equality and privacy for everybody. Our
leaders plan to meet these goals through a series of strategies and by
setting the agendas in both the House and the Senate.

Our leaders come from diverse backgrounds and bring many strengths to
the organization. Our leaders are men and women of strong conviction
who was dedicated to their shared vision of the future of America. Our
leaders welcome feedback and they are all always willing to listen to
anybody’s point of view.

The Democratic Party has a long and diverse history. Our history can
be traced back to Thomas Jefferson, when he founded the party in 1792.
Our history includes Thomas Jefferson as the first Democratic party
president in 1800. At that point in our history, the party was known
as the "party of the common man" or the Democratic-Republican Party.

Our history is marked with several changes, including the decline of
the party right before Andrew Jackson rejuvenated the party. The year
1824 marked a turning point in our history, when Andrew Jackson became
the party leader. In 1844, forty-four years after Thomas Jefferson was
elected president, the Democratic Party officially adopted the name it
is known by today. Our history begins a new page from that point
forward.

Our history demonstrates that the Democratic Party has always been the
party of the common man, the party with the common man's best interest
at heart. Our history is marked by some of the greatest men, and the
greatest leaders, our country has ever seen. Our history includes
Presidents Franklin Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy. Our history is a
history of advancement, equality, civil rights, and economic
flourishing.

HOW TO TELL IF YOU'RE TRULY A DEMOCRAT

If you are truly a Democrat, you will find yourself described in one
or more of the following definitions.

+++Being a Democrat is the only political persuasion left for
intelligent, educated and free thinking people in the United States.
The only viable political party left for libertarians who have brains
enough to see that the Republican party has been taken over by greed-
mongoring, war-mongering, closet-bigotted, crony-paying, corporatist
assholes who are all too eager to cut your verteran father's
healthcare, send your brother into battle without armor, strip your
sick grandmother out of her medicaid coverage, and move your job
overseas if can save them and their mega-rich buddies a few dollars.

+++Democrat is the designation of a political party that is the only
one left for anyone who thinks government doesn't belong snooping in
your bedroom or in your church group.

+++Democrat is the only political label for anyone who gets laid on a
regular basis. Because we all know that these stuffy Republicans
aren't getting any. If you vote for bigger trucks and bigger bombs you
must be compensating for something! And if you are a woman and vote
Republican, you must have dried up a long time ago.

+++Democrat is the only way left to keep souless dry-balled morons
like *** Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld from screwing it up for everyone
but their mega-wealthy buddies - using their talking monkey George
Bush and their token Afro-American woman Condi Rice to make it all
sound nice to those who aren't paying attention.

+++The United States Democratic Party. Usually characterized by
beliefs such as:

- personal privacy rights, including legalized abortion and gay
marriage
- protection of civil liberties
- protection of the enviornment
- multilateral foreign policy
- extensive government services, such as health care, education, and
welfare
- tax system that causes the rich to pay more taxes to pay for above
government services

+++A Democrat believes in the separation of church and state, on the
off-chance that not everyone in America is a Southern Baptist.
Doesn't believe that industries have the unfettered right to dump
carcinogens into our water supplies. Also believe in protecting public
health and worker safety. Believes in strengthening public education,
rather than gutting it with vouchers.

+++A Democrat believes in civil liberties and equal rights for all
people, regardless of gender, race, or sexual orientation; a
Democratic President pushed through the Civil Rights Act even though
it meant losing half of his party. That half, comprising mostly of
racist whites, now overwhelmingly votes Republican. They represent
the broadest spectrum of the American public: women, blacks, Latinos,
gays, Jews, seculars, immigrants, union workers, and yes, also
straight middle-class white male Protestants.

If they were alive today, Abraham Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt would be
Democrats.

An American citizen who actually cares about other people. Likes to
actually use logic to solve problems, other than the common Republican
slogan, "If they don't agree.. Bomb 'em!" Often called "Communist",
"Nazi", or "terrorist sympathizer" by Republicans for actually giving
a damn about this nation's people.

Republican: Let's brainwash all of the United States' citizens into
believing that we do the work of God and that Democrats are really
just a satanic cult trying to take over the US Government!

Also, whoever said that it was the Republicans who freed the slaves,
you are right, but keep in mind it was against a Christian Democrat
opponent they were facing. Today, the majority of Christians vote
Republican. It's not the cover of the book you should be looking at,
it's the content, genius.

George W. Bush has used over 600 'executive passes', something that
allows you to pass a law for 'National Security reasons'.This number,
if you are aware, is MORE THAN EVERY OTHER PRESIDENT COMBINED.

*** Cheney shot a guy in the face thinking its a bird no larger than
a piece of paper, and nothing happens. Meanwhile, a fifteen year old
gets a life sentence for accidently killing his neighbor while
practicing wrestling moves in his backyard.

+++A Democrat is a kind person. For example, a single mother with
breast cancer unable to work to feed her child and to afford adequate
treatment for her illness begs on the streets for money or food.

A Republican's answer: 'Ahh that lazy bitch, if she just found a job
or went to church. She deserves this for her awful sin of having sex
before marriage. The Lord knows what he's doing!'

A Democrat's answer: 'I will give her money and start fundraising to
gather money to help her.'

+++Someone who is sincere and honest and believes in real freedom. Not
a Greedy Oligarchical Plutocrat. Someone who believes that government
should help those that need help to help themselves not that everyone
should just be for themselves.

+++A person of high moral conviction who votes and thinks with his
heart and conscience, and not with his wallet. A person of true valor
and integrity, who refuses to allow corporate greed and corruption
govern his actions.

+++One who likes to feel your pain, (as opposed to Republican: one who
likes to cause your pain.)

+++Someone who realizes that more money is being spent on an
unjustified war than on problems ailing America. A Democrat realizes
that the world is finite and that new energy alternatives are needed
for the prosperity of humanity. Are usually portrayed as pot smoking
trust fund babies while the majority of tax policies benefiting the
rich are supported by Republicans. Are very snobby and truely lack
tenacity.

+++ A democrat is one of five possible degrees of view. (the five
being radical, liberal, moderate, conservative, and reactionary) The
moderate is a neutral standpoint where radicals and liberals are
degrees of democrats (radicals being the extreme) and conservatives
and reactionaries being the republican viewpoints (reactionaries being
the extreme)

+++Democrats believe in strong national securityand are staunchly
patriotic. A Democrat believes it is necessary to defend America from
both external evil and internal corruption. Keeping America on the
straight and narrow is an important part of keeping America safe.
Democrats understand and accept the responsibility of keeping our
country as honorable as it is strong.

+++Democrats are maligned as tax-and-spend liberals because Democrats
voted for tax breaks for low income people, credits for child care and
founded many of the social and educational programs we have today.
Horror stories of welfare abuse are used to make people think that
social programs are bad. But seriously, abuses are going to happen in
any system or program because there are always going to be criminals
who lie, cheat and steal. This happens at all levels of society, not
just among welfare moms. Look at those Enron millionaires who cheated
thousands of hard-working people out of their pensions.

+++Democrats, contrary to popular belief, balance budgets and believe
in fair tax structures that do not squeeze the middle class out of
existence.

+++Democrats believe in science and listen to experts. Democrats
believe that religion and science can co-exist. Many Democrats are
religious people who believe that cherishing and protecting the earth
that God created is a sacred charge.

+++Democrats love America and they love our world. Democrats are
fighting and dying in Iraq and Democrats are fighting at home to end
the war. Democrats believe war is sometimes necessary but that the
Iraq War and current occupation have made us less safe and have
strained our proud military to the breaking point. Most military
experts agree.

+++A person with a political belief system that has absolute faith in
the ability of man to govern and no faith in a real living God that
bestows freedom and liberty upon man to make his own path because of
the rights given by that same God, ie, the right to life, liberty and
the pursuit of happiness.

+++Someone who doesn't get his opinions spoonfed to him by Rush
Limbaugh and Fox News.

So if you exhibit any or all of these wonderful human traits outlined
above, despite the fact you've been a card-carrying member of the
devil's party (aka Republican) for any number of years, there is now
hope that you may fit it to the horizon of thought that will be
brought to you by the glorious and wonderful Democratic Party-
sponsored President, Barack Obbama, come November.

Peace to all of you lost souls and be of good cheer because the
"savior of the United States," the Democratic Party will soon lead you
from the darkness of despair into the shining beacon of freedom, joy
and bliss.
