I'm rarely stopped by the bag rooters, but the older I get, the more intolerant of this policy I'm getting, and the closer I'm getting to making a scene.
Other than "It's store policy", do you know if WalMart has published an official rationale for bag rooting on exit? I'd like to be armed with knowledge before I get publicly indignant.
I haven't yet made up my mind how I feel about bag rooting on entry, except to say that it currently doesn't bother me much. But that could change - probably in direct proportion to my accumulation of birthdays. Assuming I continue to accumulate them.
