When you are in Yellowstone, you are, most of the time, in the caldera of a volcano. There are some areas that spew gas and vapors that have strong odors. Sulfur and rotten egg smells. If this bothers you, don't stop at places like Dragons Breath, and Mary Bay. Other than that the area is mostly just mountain air.
