I have Dish which uses sats 110-119-129. The antenna usually points about south. The question is if I am only getting sat 119 which way is sat 110 ? Left or right of 119. Are they lined up in the sky 110-119-129 from left to right or are they 129-119-110 left to right. I have been taking my old receiver that uses 110-119 but thinking of taking my hd-dvr receiver that needs all 3 sats. I know I will need a new hd antenna to do this.
How hard is it to get all 3 sats ??? I set it up with a compass and sat finder- the CHEEP way. Not willing to pay $$$$$$ for the auto sat finding thingies.

I've discovered a trick which makes it easy to find multiple birds. Use duct tape to cover 2 of your cones, (with Dish the cones are labeled) and then find the correct bird with the one you don't cover. If your skew and elevation are set properly, and your fence post level says the dish is plumb, then the other birds will be there when you remove the duct tape. The job got easy after I discovered that one.
