So why are so many of your citizens hanging out in the USA? The only
reason I know of to visit Canada is because they have more fishing
opportunities.

In 2006, 10,942 Americans went to Canada, compared with 9,262 in 2005 and 5,828 in 2000, according to a survey by the Association for Canadian Studies.

Of course, those numbers are still outweighed by the number of Canadians going the other way. Yet, that imbalance is shrinking. Last year, 23,913 Canadians moved to the United States, a significant decrease from 29,930 in 2005.

Think of it in percentage of population and your numbers look even worse.

Over ten thousand people who like fishing, I guess. And that doesn't
include the political refugees.

How many political refugees from the USA?

Perhaps they want to be part of a
population where the per capita rate of college-educated residents is
about 30 percent higher than the U.S.?

How many are illegal aliens? Canada has far different demographics than the U.S. so it seems to be the only ammo Canadians come up with for comparisons.

You couldn't pay me to live in the USA... but it IS a nice place to
visit during a Canadian winter. <g>

That's when your vaunted quality of life approaches negative values.
