indestructible. But "I" did manage to screw up the hunting knife that
came with the set.

If you'll send the knife back to them you'll probably be very pleasantly
surprised. Somebody once used my french chef's knife to try to chop
something hard (a piece of bone, probably) and put a slight bend in the
edge of the blade. I sent it back to them and asked if it could be
fixed. They sent me a brand new knife, gratis, no questions asked.

Many years ago my first wife lost my kitchen shears in a flower bed,
where they stayed for several years. When they turned up, they were in
bad shape -- rust, corrosion, etc. I sent them back and they sent me a
new pair. Again, no charge.

I love my Cutco knives.
