I have a large set of Cutco knives that I've had since '76 (I used to
sell them part-time). They were sold mostly door to door then. Now
they're sold on the 'net too (see cutco.com).
We use some of them (trimmer, chef's knife, etc.) virtually every day,
and they all still look like brand new.
People ask me when I got them and can't believe they're over 30 years
old. And they've never needed sharpening, either. Love 'em.
Hey GB
Our have the bowling ball material for the handles I agree that they also look great after 40+ years also. I think they are almost indestructible. But "I" did manage to screw up the hunting knife that came with the set. Other than that they are perfect. I got mine from a door to door salesman also just can't remember if they came with the pots and pans or the china or if I bought them separate! It is hell to get old, you would think I could remember that far back and how much I paid if anything! Ahhh the golden years!
