What am I saying about the population? Well has any one figured out why the Clinton's migrated from Arkansas(population,2,673,400) to New York (population 18,976,457).
The population of Alaska is a mere 626,932, not much instate support available at even 100%.
If it were me I might consider an individual from CA, think of the support you could draw from there.
I would love to see Bobby Jindal (Governor of Louisiana) on the ballot, but conventional wisdom is that he needs someone from a "rust belt" state, possibly Ohio or Pennsylvania. This is a case of finding a running mate that appeals to people in states where you are weak. And on that basis, neither Alaska nor LA will do him any good.

I think a strong person like Rudy Giuliani, would help more than any one else.
Or Arnold Schwarzenegger in a capacity allowed of a non US born citizen.
I doubt the VP seat would apply but maybe it could. Can't ignore the most populated state in the US and a Rep. Governor.
