Thanks John,
I have dsl cable at home with a few bells and
whistles. I's just the basic satellite to use in the RV. Maybe only 29.95 a
month. Hopefully the RV manufacturer will provide hook up info.. <VBG>

Thanks Tim. One thing I forgot to mention in my previous post is this.

First picture. I saw this setup a few years ago and snapped a pic. The mount is the
tripod from an ordinary halogen work light like Home Depot or Northern Tool sells.
The dish is an ordinary wall mount unit. Not quite visible in the photo is the wing
bolt that threads into the 1/4-20 hole in the top of the tripod.

The tripod is very heavy, made of the finest ChiCom steel :-) Heavy enough to resist
at least moderate wind.

I watched the guy set it up. From storage compartment to on the air in no more than
10 minutes. He had one of those in-line signal strength thingies. He just looked at
his compass, aimed the thing in the right direction and with a few positional
adjustments, had a signal.

For those of us without the Big Money (Hi Cliff :-) for a self-aiming mount, this
looks like a pretty slick and very cheap solution.

I don't know if they're still available or not but Northern was selling just the
tripod with nothing on it for under $10. It was designed to turn their "10 million
candlepower" (sic) spotlight into a fixed light. I bought several of 'em and have
found them very useful for a variety of things. One thing is to mount my weather
station sensors out in front of the house and away from any trees.
