Our Cocker, Sammie, has to have Carprofen and she also can eat completely

You'll never find peanut butter at my place (I've heard it sticks to
the roof of your mouse - and I'm afraid it would do the same for
hamsters).

My technique uses cheese slices instead. I cut one slice up into
squares a bit bigger than the pill. I put the pill in between two of
the squares and pinch the four edges closed. Then I start feeding him
squares one after another - he loves cheese so he doesn't chew them,
they just get swallowed and he's ready for the next one. Randomly I
introduce the one with the pill in it and gulp... it's gone.

He never even knows he's been duped...

'Ol Chico and Sammie are the ones doing the "duping".. with the pill packaged in the cheese and peanut butter like that they can easily excrete it before the pill gets a chance to dissolve while fully enjoying the cheese and peanut butter...

Dogs love outsmarting Hamsters... [and people] :)
