OMIGOSH, I can't believe the number of posts to this thread. Well,
I'll catch everyone up on the truck I love. <g>

Couldn't wait. Went camping in the mountains. No problem even
without the brake. So far, I'm getting much better mileage than
the Jeep. I'm told that I will get even better mileage now that I
have a bed cover--it will be better aerodynamically--"loses the
vortex". Love hiding all the stuff and getting our heads away from
"potential flying objects". Next the back up camera goes in (Wed),
and on Thursday, I'm getting the brake controller that was
recommended by everyone Tek Progidy--can't remember the exact
spelling.

It rode up to the mountains like a dream. It's fun to drive. It's
fun to drive around town. It's fun to have a big gas tank. It's
just plain fun! Nervous Nellie is a pro at the ramp, already.
I'll see what I am missing in the remaining posts, I assume.

So far, Bill, I'm still confused about the blanket, but I'll read
on.

Here are a few helping comments. I suggest you purchase a bottle of
the additive for your fuel tank, I use "Power Service" Diesel Fuel
Supplement, and WalMart Has it.

I'll do it! How often do you suggest adding it? I'll get some and
keep it on hand.

It is never to soon to put some in the
tank. You can have a little moisture in the tank and it can freeze.
I use my engine block heater any night that I intend on getting a
quick start.

Katie, check with a Cummins mechanic ... read your manual (and do what *IT*
says,) and be very careful of what people tell you ... especially *old*
people, me, included! As a "New" diesel owner, you have asked a lot of
questions, and gotten a lot of answers, some good ... some bad! A very
good motto for your next few months might be "Listen to everyone; Trust no
one; Check everything; ... Twice!"

Mostly, where you live (South of me,) your truck will be fine, and if you DO
wind up in the Nawth in winter, all fuel sold in cold climates already have
such additives as they need.
