So, how did it work out for you going to Florida and back? You use it
with the laptop, or just as a stand-alone?

Goddam problems. I haven't narrowed down the problem yet, but it doesn't work worth a damn going through GpsGate - GpsGate keeps crashing. But it works fine feeding the laptop with GpsGate out of the picture. It also works fine as a talking navigation device. The biggest problem is I can't force it to take the route I might want to take, and it's calculated routes are not always the best. Hell, it doesn't even always know which route is the shortest.

But I'm going to keep it and use it. I like it right up there just left and down from my main driving line-of-sight.

One other thing - You know that I've been having laptop crashing problems while on the road? This time, I ran with the AC adaptor plugged into an inverter rather than the car adaptor. Only one crash, and it was different from the ones I usually have.

What with the Garmin, the Magellan, the laptop, the fone charger, the XM radio, and the inverter, I've got damwires everywhere.

He got the door open and the seatbelt loose, but couldn't get out of the navionics wires.

Theory don't mean squat if it don't work.
