I consider 7,500 miles the minimum change interval.
I work for a major bread company with a very large fleet, We change oil on
the route trucks
at 4,500 miles (thats 8 to 11 quarts) and tractors at 12,000 miles. (40 to
48 quarts)
If you don't plan on keeping the unit change it at 7,500.
The 4 cylinder Cummins will get more than 250,000 miles. The tractors on the
average have 600,000
to well over a million miles and never been rebuilt.
